Project

Active Power Filter Design, Senior Design Project September 2013 - June 2014

Designed an active power filter (APF) to eliminate total harmonic distortion in the source current to improve power quality.
Devised a control algorithm using Simulink to detect and eliminate harmonics in the source current.
Engineered a Simulink model of APF and performing tests on it under different conditions.
Designed a scaled-down hardware model of the APF component.
